Becker, Washington, D.C. attorney, in recognition of Mr. Becker's donation of more than 30,000 items of political memorabilia to National Museum of History and Technology (NMHT), now known as the National Museum of American History. The presentation took place in "We the People Hall" at NMHT.

  • The Smithson Medal was cast in 1965 for the bicentennial of James Smithson's birth. The medal was designed by Paul Vincze of London and was struck by the Medallic Company. The Smithson Medal is gold and the highest honor given by the Smithsonian Institution.
