Summary

Maximilian Jacob Herzberger (1899-1982). Deprived of his professorship at Jena University by the Nazis, Herzberger emigrated to the United States and continued his research at Eastman Kodak Company. This photograph was distributed in 1962 when he was awarded the Frederic Ives Medal by the Optical Society of America.
