Summary

Shinkishi Hatai (1876-1963), Assistant in Neurology, Neurological Laboratory, University of Chicago. He later became the first professor in biology at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. The Shinkishi Hatai Medal is awarded by the Pacific Science Congress in his honor.
