This photograph of experimental zoologist Lancelot Thomas Hogben (1895-1975) was taken between 1922 and 1927, while he was teaching at McGill University in Canada. A prolific writer, Hogben achieved fame among a wider audience with his book "Mathematics for the Millions" published in 1936.
