George Herbert Hitchings (1905-1998), Burroughs Wellcome and Company. This photograph was distributed in conjunction with his invention of the drug "Daraprim," used to treat malaria. In 1988, Hitchings shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Sir James Black and Gertrude Elion.
