This accession consists of records created by Steven D. Lubar, Curator at the National Museum of American History (NMAH). These records primarily document the planning of the exhibit "Engines of Change: The American Industrial Revolution, 1790-1860," but include a small amount of material concerning two additional exhibitions: "The Changing American Farm, 1831-1981" and "Telltale Tools, 1750-1850 (Tools As Artifacts)." Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; exhibition proposals; agreements; budget summaries; scripts; meeting agendas and minutes; loan information; photographs; floor plans and design drawings; brochures; newspaper clippings; object lists; audiotapes; color transparencies; and other related materials.
