This accession consists of three Instagram accounts maintained by units throughout the Smithsonian Institution, including the Chandra X-ray Observatory operated by the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, the National Museum of Natural History's Smithsonian Marine Station at Fort Pierce, and the Office of the Chief Information Officer's Smithsonian Transcription Center. The accounts were crawled between November 7, 2014, and April 21, 2015. Instagram is a program for applying filters to digital photographs and sharing photographs online. Due to technical issues, the crawls of many accounts are incomplete and may not function properly. Materials are in electronic format.
