Field glasses used during the Civil War (AF.77336M); Sword of Donalsen; New York sword, voted to General Grant by the citizens of New York (United States Sanitary Commission Metropolitan Fair in New York, New York on April 23, 1864.); Sword of Chattanooga, presented to General Grant by the citizens of Jo Daviess County, Illinois (Galena), after the battle of Chattanooga; Fifteen buttons, cut from the coats worn by General Grant during the war by Mrs. Grant, after different battles; Shoulder-straps (brigadier-general) worn by General Grant at Belmont, Fort Donelson, and Shiloh; Shoulder-straps (lieutenant-general) cut from the coat worn by General Grant in the campaigns against Richmond and Petersburg; Shoulder-straps (general).
