Summary

William H. Grier, M. D., (1926-2015), San Francisco psychiatrist and assistant professor of psychiatry at University of California Medical Center, 1968. The photograph was distributed in April 1968, when Grier served as a consultant to the educational filmstrip "Black History: An Introduction." He and co-author Price M. Cobbs, also a psychiatrist, published their influential book "Black Rage" later in 1968.
