This accession consists of records documenting the development and general management of exhibitions at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. The bulk of the materials were created by Kerry Brougher, Curator and Chief Curator, 2000-2014. Also documented in this accession are touring exhibitions, public programs, scholarly activities, and artwork from the collection. The department has frequently undergone name changes that have included the Curatorial Department, the Programs Department, and the Department of Public Programs/Curatorial Division. Materials include proposals, floor plans, correspondence, memoranda, essays, brochures, budgets, object images, checklists, notes, clippings, schedules, meeting materials, background materials, videos, and related materials. Some materials are in electronic format.
