Summary:

This accession consists of field notes of Donald F. MacDonald, geologist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and professor of geology. MacDonald was appointed by the Costa Rica-Panama Boundary Commission as geologist during the construction of the Panama Canal, 1911-1913. Some of these field notes were written in conjunction with USGS geologist Thomas Wayland Vaughan. Materials also include scientific illustrations and maps.

Descriptive Entry

This accession consists of field notes of Donald F. MacDonald, geologist with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and professor of geology.
