Accession 16-068
American Arachnological Society
Records, 1948-1996
Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of the correspondence of Vincent D. Roth. He worked at the Oregon State Department of Agriculture and then the University of Arizona Experimental Station in Yuma, before moving on to be the Resident Director of the Southwest Research Station (part of the American Museum of Natural History) near Portal, Arizona. His interest in taxonomy lead him to publish in 1982 a handbook for identification called "Spider Genera of North America." There is some correspondence related to that publication and other correspondence related to his activities as an arachnologist as well as related to his time serving in the American Arachnological Society. Materials include correspondence, postcards, and clippings.
