Summary

Reconstruction of the "Santa Maria," Christopher Columbus's original flagship credited with discovering America in 1492, docked at Pier 3, Maine Avenue, Southwest Washington D.C.; Dioramas in the hold of the "Santa Maria" depicting the events of Christopher Columbus's first voyage and return. The dioramas were constructed by the Scenic Department of the Barcelona Opera House under the direction of Senor Cabanes.
