Descriptive Entry
G. Wayne Clough became the twelfth Secretary of the Smithsonian in July 2008. At the beginning of his tenure, one of his initiatives was to create a Smithsonian-wide strategic plan to guide the work and activities of its offices, museums, and research centers. This accession consists of records created and maintained by Pherabe Kolb, Strategic Planning Steering Committee Staff Director. The materials document the strategic planning process, the formation of a strategic planning steering committee, feedback from external organizations on the Smithsonian's strategic plan, as well as interviews and questionnaires of Smithsonian staff. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, reports, questionnaires, presentations, workshop records, budget records, charts, calendars, notes, meeting agendas and minutes, and other related materials.
