Summary

Francis Russell Bichowsky (1889- 1951) was trained as a physical chemist. He worked in the geophysical laboratory at the Carnegie Institution, 1916-1919, and became an Assistant Editor of the International Critical Tables, which was a National Research Council project; from 1927-1933, he headed physical chemistry division of the Naval Research Laboratory.
