Summary

Interior of the National Museum Building rotunda, with the model of the "Statue of Freedom" created by Thomas Crawford for the dome of the Capitol, and donated to the Smithsonian by Architect of the Capitol Edward Clark. The Rotunda features a flag exhibit, displaying oil sketches of flags in use in the United States. Interior stenciled decorating scheme done by Grace Lincoln Temple in 1902.
