Sir,
I send herewith the seeds of which I lately spoke to you, to be presented in my name to the Columbian Institute-
I shall be very happy if they are of any service to the Botanical Garden.
Permit me to recommend to your particular care the seed of the Cedar of Mount Lebanon; it comes from the only tree of that species we have in France, which, for its beauty and the magnitude of its size, is the admiration of travellers.
Please, Sir, to present my respects to the Distinguished Members of the Institute, and to accept for yourself the the assurances of the high considerations which which I have the honor to be,
