I have the pleasure to acquaint you for information of the Columbian Institute, that, according the Brazilian Constitution, H.M. the Emperor of Brazil has permitted to me to accept the honour of corresponding member of the said Institute, which was communicated officially to me by a Dispatch of the 17[[superscript]] th [[/superscript]] May lately received.
