Observing in the newspapers, that an adjourned meeting of the Columbian Institute will be held this evening, I embrace the opportunity of requesting you to announce the [[underlined]] resignation [[/underlined]] of [[underlined]] my seat [[/underlined]] as a [[underlined]] resident [[/underlined]] member.
I must likewise [[strikethrough]] t [[/strikethrough]] solicit you to take charge of the enclosed check for Five dollars, being my annual subscription, which will be due at the end of the present month. I rec[[superscript]] d [[/superscript]]. the Treasurer's demand on me [[underlined]] through the Post Office [[/underlined]], but did not know where to address him.
