The Smithsonian Institution Archives welcomes personal and educational use of its collections unless otherwise noted. For commercial uses, please contact photos@si.edu. Dear Sir
My request that a meeting of the General Com. of the Col. Institute should be called arose from a conversation with the President, Dr. Cutbush, whom I wanted to attend the meeting, and he promised to do. I supposed the call would, as usual, be by a public advrt and that he as well as the other officers would see it in the newspapers. If this course shall not be promised, I will thank you ^[[insertion]] especially [[/insertion]] to notify Dr. Cutbush of the time and place of the meeting, as well as the other officers if convenient.
I am very respectfully
