Sir,
I am directed by the [[underlined]]Columbian Institute[[/underlined]] to acquaint you that at its slated meeting on the 6th .inst, you were elected one of its Resident Members.
I have the honor to transmit you herewith a Copy of the Constitution adopted by this Society,- and avail myself of the same opportunity to tender you my respectful salutations.
