Summary

This accession consists of photographs documenting the Museum Support Center and the Smithsonian Institution Building, better known as the Castle, on August 24, 2011, one day after an earthquake. The images document damage to the facilities and many feature Secretary G. Wayne Clough, a former civil engineer, surveying the buildings. The photographs were taken by Mark A. Avino, a photographer for the National Air and Space Museum, and include both raw and processed image files. Materials are in electronic format.
