Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of two websites and a blog maintained by the National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) as they existed in March 2012.
The main NMAI website, crawled in two parts on March 19 and 21, 2012, includes visitor and programmatic information; exhibition information and online exhibitions; resources for museum professionals; educational resources; and membership and donation information.
The "Native Networks" website, available in both English and Spanish, was crawled on March 22, 2012, and includes information about film, video, and radio produced by indigenous peoples of the Americas and Hawaii. It also serves as the official website for the Native American Film + Video Festival organized by the NMAI Film and Video Center. The festival portion of the website includes information on programs and participants as well as press releases.
The NMAI blog, crawled on March 22, 2012, covers all topics related to the museum and its activities, events, exhibitions, and research. It was opened in April 2009.
