Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of records which document the research, development, fundraising, publicity, production, and execution of exhibitions at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and the Renwick Gallery. Curators represented include Virginia M. Mecklenburg, Joann Moser, Toby Jurovics, and Merry A. Foresta. Also includes materials from when the museum was known as the National Museum of American Art (NMAA) and National Collection of Fine Arts (NCFA). Materials include correspondence, memoranda, checklists, exhibition schedules, proposals, floor plans, budget records, reports, grant records, agreements, contracts, publicity records, videotapes, and images. Some materials are in electronic format.
