Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of the website for the LASER i3 program as it existed on July 17, 2012. Developed by the National Science Resources Center (NSRC), the Leadership and Assistance for Science Education Reform (LASER) Model is a systemic approach to science learning and teaching that addresses classroom instruction using a research-based science curriculum with aligned professional development for teachers and provides the entire support system needed to provide students with excellent and equitable science education. As part of the program, NSRC has partnered with schools in Houston, North Carolina, and New Mexico, both in urban and rural areas, that have significant numbers of students living in poverty. The website provides information both about the program and about the partner schools. Materials are in electronic format.
