This accession consists of records documenting program activities of the Smithsonian Material Culture Forum, which is an interdisciplinary group of Smithsonian scholars dedicated to the study and appreciation of the myriad aspects of material culture. The group changed its name from Smithsonian Forum on Material Culture to Smithsonian Material Culture Forum in 2002. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; annual reports; meeting agendas and minutes; budget summaries; proposals; brochures; quarterly meeting announcements, schedules, and participant information; clippings; audiotape recordings of select meetings; articles; and awards information. Some materials are in electronic format.

Descriptive Entry

This accession consists of records documenting program activities of the Smithsonian Forum on Material Culture (SFMC), which is an interdisciplinary group of Smithsonian scholars dedicated to the study and appreciation of the myriad aspects of material culture.
