Summary

This collection consists of the field notes of Edward William Nelson from time collecting plants in Mexico from 1893 to 1906. Nelson conducted a thorough survey of Mexico with Edward Alphonso Goldman from 1892-1906, and this collection represents, in part, the field notes from Nelson's work collecting botanical specimens. See related collection (Edward William Nelson and Edward Alphonso Goldman Collection, circa 1873-1946 and undated; Record Unit 7364) for his collecting of birds, mammals, and other specimens. Some of the field books in this collection appear to have been contributed to by both Nelson and Goldman.
