Summary

This collection contains field notes and manuscript material created by Herbert Friedman, originally maintained by the National Museum of Natural History, Division of Birds. Field notes were created in 1950 in South Africa and Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). The manuscript, 1932, is a work based on the bird collections by the Smithsonian African Expedition led by President Theodore Roosevelt.
