Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of papers documenting the career of W. Ronald Heyer, curator in the Division of Amphibians and Reptiles at the National Museum of Natural History. Heyer's research focuses on the systematics, evolution, and biogeography of Neotropical amphibians. There is also a small amount of materials created by James Arthur Peters, also a curator in this division. In addition, there are records relating to Heyer's work with the World Congress of Herpetology and the IUCN/SSC Declining Amphibian Populations Task Force. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and postcards; meeting notes; divisional materials; data; illustrations; manuscript materials; and photographs, slides, and negatives. Some materials are in electronic format.
