This accession is primarily comprised of field notes and identification lists for specimen numbers 29101-32780, collected and observed by Leonard J. Brass, J. D. Collins, J. J. Havel, and others in Papua New Guinea in 1959 for the "Sixth Archbold Expedition to New Guinea." Materials include typed field notes, identification lists, and correspondence. The accession includes correspondence with Dan H. Nicolson and Wallace R. Ernst both of whom worked at the National Museum of Natural History, Department of Botany.
