Summary

Stella Pecelj Collett (1922-2010) was working at the Bell & Howell Company during World War II when this photograph was taken. She had been featured as a "Pin-Up Girl" in a company publication and just been offered a screen test at MGM. The accompanying press release had noted that the motion picture manufacturer was "now engaged 100% in war production...Stella works in the Purchasing Department at Bell & Howell--one of the army of women on the home front, fighting the battle of production--one of the women behind the men behind the guns.
