Summary:

This accession consists of audiovisual and photographic materials collected and maintained by the Golden Lion Tamarin Conservation Program. Some materials consist of video and audio footage recorded by the National Zoological Park (NZP). Additional recordings were primarily created by other zoos, production companies, or television stations. Many of the recordings feature NZP's free-ranging golden lion tamarins (Leontopithecus rosalia) and the staff responsible for them. Some recordings feature the release of golden lion tamarins into the wild at Reserva Biológica de Poço das Antas. A few video recordings and still images document NZP events related to golden lion tamarins. Prior to 2003, materials were collected by the Department of Zoological Research. Materials include video, audio, and images. Some materials are in electronic format.

Descriptive Entry
