Gregory Breit (1899-1951) is shown standing with theoretical physicist Paul Adrien Maurice Dirac (1902-1984), Cambridge University. Caption says: "The development of the newer theories of atomic and nuclear physics is predominantly in the hands of the younger men as this picture ... shows." This was probably taken at a National Academy of Sciences meeting in April 1939.
