In 1939, Frank Rattray Lillie (1870-1947), professor of zoology at University of Chicago and Director of Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory, was President of National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and William Henry Bragg (1862-1942) was President of the Royal Society. They are shown at the NAS Spring 1939 meeting in Washington.
