Botanist and geneticist Albert Francis Blakeslee (1874-1954), shown standing at NBC radio microphone with two students, Irving Lazarowitz (l) and Theresa Zinghini (r), participating in the American Institute Student Science Laboratories at the Westinghouse exhibit in the 1940 World's Fair. Irving Lazarowitz (age 17) was at James Madison High School in New York; Theresa Zinghini (age 17) was at Girls Commercial High School; Blakeslee was then President of American Association for the Advancement of Science.
