Summary

Saul Dushman (1883-1954) was Assistant Director of the General Electric Research Laboratory, where he worked from 1912 to 1952; Charles William Beebe (1877-1962) was at the New York Zoological Society. The caption of this General Electric Company publicity photograph calls Beebe the "famed bathysphere undersea explorer" and shows Dushman demonstrating artificial luminescence for the General Electric "House of Magic" at the 1939 New York World's Fair.
