Charles Christopher Adams (1873-1955) was Director of New York State Museum in Albany from 1926 to 1943; his research on animal ecology and on the ecology of prairies, forests, and lakes helped to inform his work from 1919 to 1926 as the first director of the Roosevelt Wild Life Experimental Station in New York.
