Summary

Edna Greenwood (1888-1972), a life-long collector of domestic furnishings, is made an honorary Smithsonian fellow by seventh Secretary Leonard Carmichael. She and her husband donated the Arthur and Edna Greenwood Collection to the National Museum of American History. The collection comprises some 2,000 objects of Americana documenting everyday life in colonial America.
