Summary

Consists of records documenting the curatorial activities of Lydia Puccinelli, Curator of Collections, National Museum of African Art, 1979-1999 and as curator at the Museum of African Art, 1964-1979, prior to its joining the Smithsonian Institution; Andrea Nicolls, Assistant Curator and Curator; and Philip L. Ravenhill, Chief Curator, 1987-1997. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, notes, brochures, exhibition materials, proposals, lender information, purchase recommendations, photographs of objects, slides, floor plans, sketches, didactics, newsletters, clippings, and label text.
