At the National Portrait Gallery, the Department of Photographs is the curatorial office responsible for the Gallery's portrait photographs. Its work includes acquiring, researching, cataloging, and storing these objects. These records consist of the outgoing correspondence of the department. Among those represented are Mary Panzer, Curator of Photographs; William F. Stapp, Curator of Photographs; Frederick Voss, Curator of Time Collection; and Ann M. Shumard, Assistant Curator of Photographs.
