This accession consists of slides documenting events, exhibitions, and facilities associated with the National Air and Space Museum (NASM). Subjects include the construction and opening of the NASM building on the Mall; planning for the Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Center; the 30th Anniversary video; the exhibitions "GPS: A New Constellation," "¡Arriba!: The History of Flight in Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean," "Earth Today," "Explore the Universe," "How Things Fly," "Korea: The U.S. Air Force's First Air War," and "Legend, Memory, and the Great Air War;" open houses at the Paul E. Garber Preservation, Restoration, and Storage Facility; lectures; ceremonies; and the movement of objects such as the "Enola Gay." Materials include color transparency slides and occasional accompanying background information.
