This accession consists of records documenting a proposal to create a film unit as part of the Office of Public Affairs and the proposed productions which that unit would create as well as a proposed relationship between Smithsonian Institution producers and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This accession also includes photographs of the filming of "Celebrating a Century: The 1876 Philadelphia Exhibition." Materials include memoranda, correspondence, draft proposals, and photographs.
