Burkhardt, Professor of History, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, during his tenure as President of the International Society for the History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Biology. Among the topics covered are the planning for the 1995 Biennial Meeting at the University of Leuven in Belgium, travel awards given to graduate students, and other administrative matters pertaining to the society.
