Summary:

In 1982, the Kellogg Foundation provided a three-year grant to the Smithsonian Institution's Office of Museum Programs (OMP) and Resident Associates Program (RAP) "to expand the educational influence of museums." The Kellogg Project, designed to encourage greater recognition and utilization of the education potential of museums; sponsored colloquia, workshops, seminars, residencies, and videotapes for museum professionals throughout the United States. After recieving a three-year extension, the Project was completed in 1988. This collection consists of audio cassette recordings of speakers at many of the colloquia, seminars, and workshops sponsored by the Kellogg Project.

Historical Note
