Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections
Records, 1987-1993
Descriptive Entry
The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) was created in 1985. It is a multi-disciplinary organization, including persons within the fields of anthropology, zoology, botany, geology, paleontology, and others interested in the development and preservation of natural history collections. These records consist mostly of Paisley S. Cato's files as Editor of SPNHC documenting the publication of Society publications Collection Forum and SPNCH Newsletter. Also included are smaller amounts of SPNCH promotional material and records concerning the 1993 SPNCH annual meeting in Victoria, British Columbia.
