Series two consists of documents relating to Smithsonian awards and medals, including the James Smithson Medal, the Joseph Henry Medal, and the Samuel P. Langley Medal, and includes photographs of recipients and of awards, lists of recipients, brochures, news releases, and newspaper articles, 1927, 1956-1988.
