The International Palaeontological Association (IPA) was established in 1933. The aim of IPA is "the collaboration and cooperation of international activity in paleontology and stratigraphy." This accession consists of records created by Makoto Kato as Secretary-General of IPA, 1989-1992. The records document annual meetings of IPA; meetings, conferences, and symposia of IPA; and administrative matters.
