Summary

Lewis P. Kelsey (1914- ), an entomologist, spent the majority of his career as a research scientist and professor at the University of Delaware. His research specialty was the taxonomy of Scenopinidae. He donated his specimen collection to the National Museum of Natural History. This accession consists primarily of incoming and outgoing correspondence documenting Lewis P. Kelsey's career as a research entomologist. The correspondence concerns the identification, exchange, and loan of specimens; the donation of his specimen collection to the National Museum of Natural History; field work, especially in Australia; and the publication of scientific papers and monographs. Also included are small amounts of notes and illustrations.
