Descriptive Entry
This accession consists of the records of Margaret Vining, Museum Specialist, which document the following exhibitions at the National Museum of American History: Fast Attacks and Boomers: Submarines in the Cold War (2000), a permanent exhibit, created to coincide with the U.S. Submarine Force Centennial; and West Point in the Making of America, 1802-1918, a temporary exhibit which observed the Bicentennial of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Vining was co-curator of both exhibitions.
Materials include correspondence, memoranda, and notes; exhibition proposals and planning information; scripts; budget summaries; meeting agendas and minutes; brochures; reports; floor plans; exhibition design, and installation information; photographs; labels; website outline, educational programs, and special events information; and agreements. Some materials are in electronic format.
