This accession consists of materials that document the administrative activities of Elizabeth Broun, Director. Records of special interest include the controversy surrounding the exhibition "The West as America: Reinterpreting Images of the Frontier, 1820-1920" (March 15, 1991-July 28, 1991) and the proposed renovation and restoration of the Post Office building for use by the National Museum of American Art.
